Georjean Blanton is a United Methodist minister whose calling in this season of her life is to guide, mentor, and encourage clergy and laypeople through the life-long process of spiritual formation and vocational change. After almost twenty-five years as a pastor she left parish ministry ten years ago to devote herself full time to the work of spiritual companioning in a ministry called PathWays. Georjean holds a bachelor's degree in Theatre and English from University of North Texas and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Perkins School of Theology. Her DMin studies were in spiritual disciplines and family systems. She was trained in spiritual guidance at the Shalem Institute in Maryland and has studied under Fr. Richard Rohr. Sr. Rosemary Dougherty, Lauren Artress, and Suzanne Stabile and is certified by the State of Texas in conflict resolution. She has participated in pilgrimages to Chartes, France, Avilla, Spain, and Sienna and Assisi in Italy. She meets with people in Dallas as well as Austin. where she is spiritual director in residence at Saint John's United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Mike Renquist, are parents of three adult children and playmates to two grandsons.
