Ash Wednesday 2013

By Ash Wednesday

The Seminary of the Southwest community gathered today to celebrate Ash Wednesday and to enter into “the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s holy Word.”  Today, we share with you a few glimpses of our life together in worship.  We offer these as an offering to God in rememberance of those who have come before us in sharing in the ancient traditions of our faith.  We lift up our sisters and brothers around the world during this time, a holy Lent.  May the Lord be with you as you prepare for our Lord’s passion and resurrection.
