Role of preacher in the sermon is continuing ed topic

June 3, 2013 @ 8:00 am - June 7, 2013 @ 5:00 pm

Is preaching just one more item on your to-do list, or is it part of your identity, part of  your self? We’ll be looking at this topic and others, including the preacher alone and in community, the place of the preacher in the sermon, and the preacher as sermon. Join us for this practical and philosophical look at the role of the preacher in today’s church.

“The Preacher’s Self: The Role of the Preacher in the Sermon” is a five day continuing education offering led by the Rev. Micah Jackson, Ph.D., John Hines associate professor of preaching at Southwest.

Twenty contact hours are given for CEUs.

Register online or contact Seminary of the Southwest, 512.472.4133.
