Southwest leaders present at conference on mental illness

NAMI Austin (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will host a conference on Thursday, November 19, 2015 titled Out of Exile: Facts, Family, Friends and Faith.
Seminary of the Southwest is one of several host organizations for the event, and members of the seminary community will present or participate on a panel during the day long conference: The Rev. David Scheider, director of the Loise Henderson Wessendorff Center for Christian Ministry and Vocation; Tara Elgin Holley, vice president for institutional advancement; and Dr. Greg Garrett, writer in residence. Sara Hickman, Austin singer and songwriter and student in the seminary’s master’s in counseling, will be featured at the conference.
