The Rev. Paul Kraus, DMin, has spent nearly three decades in pastoral ministry, serving parishes, healthcare facilities, and an academic institution. He currently is chaplain/director of pastoral care at the Austin State Supported Living Center a few miles from the seminary campus. He came to Austin from San Antonio, where he was the director of pastoral care for the Baptist Health System as well as a faculty member at the Baptist University of the Americas. A member of the board of directors for the San Antonio-based International Association of Christian Chaplains for ten years, he has led several pastoral care and counseling conferences in Mexico since 1996. Ordained by the American Baptist Churches (USA), he is a board-certified chaplain. Before moving to Texas, he held a range of ministerial positions in Presbyterian and Baptist churches in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas.
