Assistant Priest or Curate

St. Boniface Episcopal Church in Sarasota, Florida, is hiring a full-time Assistant or Curate to report to the recently announced Rector, the Rev. Nikki Seger. Known as a “transformative congregation” with a progressive voice, the parish is committed to social justice, diverse theological perspectives, and dynamic liturgical life.

The Assistant or Curate will collaborate in spiritual, pastoral, and programmatic development. Key responsibilities include sharing in preaching at weekly liturgies, providing pastoral care, and leading ministries like Christian formation, newcomer engagement, or outreach. The final portfolio will be co-discerned to align with the candidate’s unique gifts.

Ideal candidates are ordained (or on track for ordination) in The Episcopal Church, possess an M.Div. or equivalent, and are emotionally intelligent and collaborative. Newly ordained priests are encouraged to apply.

Compensation includes a competitive salary, housing allowance, health and pension benefits, one month of vacation, and continuing education support.
