St. Thomas Episcopal Church and School in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an ordained Episcopal priest to serve as Assistant Rector. This leadership role works closely with the Rector to support the church’s vision, mission, and vitality while overseeing staff, ministry programs, and parish life.
The Assistant Rector will provide strategic leadership for Youth, Children, and Family Ministries; participate fully in worship, preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and sacramental ministries; and collaborate with staff and Vestry to strengthen the life of the congregation. The ideal candidate is spiritually and emotionally mature, pastorally sensitive, collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with technology and public ministry.
Required Education & Experience:
• Priest ordained in the Episcopal Church
• Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) from an accredited seminary
• Satisfactory completion of Safeguarding God’s Children training and background check
