In time for Christmas gift giving or for your own reading, Elements of Grace by Barkley S. Thompson, MDiv '03 is due out this month. Published by Trinity Books, Elements of Grace includes Thompson's meditations which combine stories from Scripture and stories from everyday life.

Thompson is dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Houston, Texas and a member of the Board of Trustees at Seminary of the Southwest. Before coming to the Diocese of Texas, he served as rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Roanoke, Virginia and rector of Church of the Holy Apostles in Collierville, Tennessee. He will donate all royalties from the book to the outreach ministries of these three churches.
The Very Rev. Barkley Thompson will be the featured speaker on the "Day 1" radio broadcast on January 5 and 12, 2014. "Day 1" is the nationally syndicated ecumenical radio program also accessible online at Day1.org. which will begin its 69th year of broadcasts in 2014.
