As part of the Hispanic Heritage commemoration, Seminary of the Southwest invites you to attend the Día de la Raza Celebration on October 22, 2015.
The evening’s festivities begin with a Eucharist at 7:00 p.m. in Christ Chapel at the seminary campus. Local jazz artist, Joe Morales, will be the featured music presentation during the Eucharist.
A dinner reception will follow in the Howell Dining Hall with danceable music provided by Francisco Chavez and family and Joe Morales. The evening of music will include Spanish classics, Tejano and Mariachi selections. Be our guest–there is no charge for the event.
The national commemoration of Día de la Raza is October 12, 2015, known in English speaking countries as Columbus Day and in Spanish speaking countries as Día de la Raza or Day of the Race. More about Día de la Raza
