Seminary of the Southwest will hold two ceremonies this year – an evening service of Holy Eucharist and a formal morning Commencement – to recognize and celebrate graduating students and award degrees in divinity, religion, counseling, chaplaincy and pastoral care, and spiritual formation and diplomas in Anglican studies and in theological studies.
This year’s Commencement speaker will be poet Roger Reeves. Honorary Doctorates will be bestowed upon Dr. Catherine Meeks and Mrs. Florence McGee.

Roger Reeves
Roger Reeves is the author of King Me and the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation, and a 2015 Whiting Award, among other honors. His work has appeared in Poetry, The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and elsewhere. He lives in Austin, Texas.
