    Southwest sponsors Hispanic Ministries Conference

    Seminary of the Southwest will host the annual Hispanic Ministries Clergy Conference August 12-15, 2012 at Camp Allen near Navasota, Texas. The conference is designed to offer continuing education, fellowship, spiritual formation, and relaxation for Hispanic clergy and their spouses or anyone involved with Hispanic ministries.

    Kevin McClure, lecturer in church music and organist and choirmaster at Seminary of the Southwest, will present with friends, "Twas a dark and stormy night", an evening of family friendly Halloween fun on Monday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. in Christ Chapel on the seminary campus.

    Smokin’ for Mission BBQ Competition for Episcopal Relief & Development

    On February 2, the community at Seminary of the Southwest will gather for an afternoon of fun-filled BBQ competition at the seminary campus. The teams have been preparing for weeks, honing their BBQ skills around the grill and are now ready to show each other who the real grill masters of the seminary really are!

    The best part of the event: all of the profits from the event are going directly to support the mission of Episcopal Relief & Development!

The schedule is 8:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Lunch is included and Dr. Oliver Freiberger, associate professor of religious studies and Asian studies at University of Texas at Austin will give the keynote.
