Job Summary

Our commitment to you, our new full time associate rector, is to cultivate an environment that encourages you to grow, deepen, and lean confidently into your unique gifts of ministry, supported by collaborative leadership and space for faithful innovation.

Working closely with the Rector, staff, and lay leaders, you will share in the full sacramental and pastoral life of our parish through intergenerational ministries that includes oversight of our children and youth ministries. 

Our vibrant and inclusive parish is 40 miles south of Atlanta and minutes away from downtown Newnan, GA, with its lively courthouse square that has restaurants, boutiques, galleries, performing arts centers, monthly markets and events; a unique blend of Southern charm, historical richness and a dynamic community spirit. 

Qualifications: 

  • M.Div. 
  • Ordained Episcopal priest or seeking ordination 
  • Enjoys engaging with others and brings a healthy sense of humor to ministry

Rector:

● Discovers parishioners’ talents and gifts and inspires them to use their gifts to grow St. Paul’s and its
impact on each other and the community.
● Is willing to experiment and learn by developing intergenerational and other creative programming.

Engaging Relationship Developer
● Passionately builds relationships with children, youth, and families, cultivating connection with our
diocese, the wider community, and the life of the church through shared ministries.
● Values diversity and adapts to different settings and people with pastoral sensitivity.

Effective Collaborative Leader
● Seeks collaboration with parishioners and with other clergy and staff, fostering a culture of belonging.
● Is intrinsically motivated and organized. Values accountability and quality communication.

Inspirational Spiritual Guide
● Helps create and oversee compelling children and youth formation by balancing biblical knowledge and
spiritual growth programming with engaging activities at church and in the community.
● Impacts parishioners through sermons, reflections, spiritual practices, discussions and activities.
