The Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter is prayerfully seeking a rector whose character reflects the values that have shaped this parish for generations. More than a dynamic personality or impressive résumé, we hope to welcome a priest whose ministry is grounded in authenticity, humility, compassion, and a deep love for God’s people.
We seek a priest who listens before speaking, builds relationships before making decisions, and leads with wisdom, grace, and emotional maturity. Someone who is comfortable walking alongside people through life’s greatest joys and deepest challenges, recognizing that faithful ministry begins with presence long before it begins with programs.
Our next rector should appreciate the richness of Episcopal tradition while remaining open to thoughtful growth and new opportunities for ministry. We hope to welcome a collaborative leader who values consensus, encourages participation, and inspires others to discover and use the gifts God has given them.
Most of all, we seek someone who genuinely enjoys being with people—someone who finds joy in parish life, embraces diversity, welcomes newcomers, and shares our desire to build a community where every person knows they are loved, valued, and invited to grow in faith.
We are praying for our next rector to help us become all that God is calling us to be.
