Rector

St Mark’s Episcopal Church

Location

Prattville, Alabama

Job Summary

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Prattville, Alabama, is a parish shaped by prayer, sustained by worship, and rooted in a long-standing commitment to the life of the Church. We are a congregation where people are known, worship is central, and relationships are formed over time through shared faith and service. Our life together is grounded in Anglican tradition and expressed through thoughtful liturgy, mutual care, and an open-hearted welcome to all who seek a church home. Whether lifelong Episcopalians or those discovering the Church for the first time, individuals and families find space here to belong, grow, and serve.

As St. Mark’s enters this season of discernment, we do so with gratitude for our shared life and hope for the future. We seek a rector who will join us in faithful leadership and shared ministry, trusting the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We hope to be led by a priest who is attentive to pastoral care and committed to preaching that is rooted in the lectionary while speaking clearly to the realities of daily life. We value sermons that are thoughtful, relatable, and spiritually nourishing.

St. Mark’s desires a rector who leads with integrity, humility, and kindness, and who brings energy and vision to parish life. Working collaboratively with the vestry, our next rector will help guide ministries and administration with clarity and purpose, supporting families and encouraging a shared sense of calling among all members.
