Kittredge Preaches on ‘Day 1’

The Very Rev. Cynthia Briggs Kittredge, dean and president, was the featured preacher July 17 on “Day 1” with host Peter Wallace, the nationally broadcast ecumenical radio program also accessible as a podcast and online at Day1.org.

The program includes interviews with Kittredge by Wallace, who is also executive producer. “Day 1” has been broadcast every week for 77 years, formerly as “The Protestant Hour.” Featuring outstanding preachers from the mainline denominations, “Day 1” is currently distributed to 200 radio stations across America and overseas.

“Sisters in Christ,” Kittredge’s sermon for July 17, is based on the story of Jesus’s friends Mary and Martha found in Luke 10:38-42. She says, “Even though it looks like Jesus here is criticizing Martha and commending Mary, I say no to that!”
