We have determined it necessary to postpone all matriculation events scheduled for Sunday, August 27, due to forecasters’ prediction of adverse weather conditions in the central Texas area. We have taken this decision out of an abundance of caution with the safety of all members and invitees of our community in mind.
We will announce to you a new schedule for matriculation events once arrangements have been discussed and finalized.
Please know this decision was not entered hastily and that we will always place the safety of the students, faculty, staff, guests, and their families above all priorities. We do hope this postponement does not cause significant inconvenience to you and your plans surrounding matriculation.
I also request that you join me in prayers for the safety of our greater community should adverse conditions materialize.
