Program
Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP-Accredited). The mission of Seminary of the Southwest’s Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is to prepare counselors through a social justice oriented curriculum and a spiritually integrated foundation so that they can be builders of beloved community.
Start Date: Summer 2023
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (CACREP-Accredited)
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed as a Professional Counselor in State of Texas (or qualified and willing to pursue)
- Teaching experience
- Research experience
- Experience supervising practicum and internship students and/or associates
- Experience or background working within CACREP-accredited programs
- Ability to integrate religious, spiritual, and anti-racist practices with counseling competency
- A willingness to work in and contribute to a collaborative and collegial work environment
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses in Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP-Accredited) program
- Provide service to the institution
- Participate at state, regional, and national levels with the American Counseling Association and affiliated divisions or chapters
- Maintain a program of research/scholarship
- Provide clinical supervision of counseling students
- Advise graduate students
- Assist with accreditation compliance and assessment reporting
- Collaborate with other faculty in fulfilling the mission of the institution
- Other duties assigned by the Academic Dean
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
