Business leader Teri Lawver to join Southwest’s board

Seminary of the Southwest is pleased to announce that Ms. Teri Lawver will join its board of trustees in May 2015. Ms. Lawver is global commercial strategy leader and global vice president for the cardiovascular and metabolism therapeutic area with Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson.

Ms. Lawver has over 20 years of global leadership and healthcare experience. Innovative business approaches and leadership development are two of her special interests.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration and Statistics from Duke University.

Ms. Lawver, who is lives in New Jersey, serves on the advisory council of the NetsforLife Partnership for Malaria Prevention in Africa and on the advancement committee for Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD).

Chair of the Board The Rt. Rev. Dena A. Harrison, says, “Teri Lawver brings her many gifts and talents to volunteer service with community and philanthropic causes, and I am grateful that she is joining the seminary’s board of trustees. I look forward to welcoming her to our Austin campus in May.”
