Counseling alum finds technology aids mental health

Southwest alumna, Stephanie Knott, MA in Counseling ’15, is a Bishop Dena A. Harrison Fellow at Burke serving the mental health needs of people in East Texas.

Burke uses the app, myStrength, a resource for anyone who wants assistance in dealing with depression or other mental illness. Since patients don’t have around the clock access to mental health workers, myStrength is a comforting resource that has proven to reduce symptoms in patients.
