Academic Dean Bader-Saye guest co-edits Anglican Theological Review

Seminary of the Southwest Academic Dean Dr. Scott Bader-Saye recently appeared as a guest co-editor with Barbara Ridpath for the Winter 2018 edition of the Anglican Theological Review: The Gift of Water.

Said Bader-Saye and Ridpath, “The theology of water is a rich subject with deep biblical and practical resonance. As we see throughout this issue, water can represent God and chaos, judgment and virtue. Water can be ritually purifying and physically destructive. Water is both an expansive symbol for theology and a very practical requirement for life.”

The Anglican Theological Review is a quarterly journal of theological reflection. In the spirit of sound learning that has been the hallmark of Anglican divinity, our aim is to foster scholarly excellence and thoughtful conversation in and for the church. For over ninety years, the Anglican Theological Review has been the unofficial journal of the seminaries of the Episcopal Church in the United States and the Anglican Church of Canada.
From the ATR website: “We are committed to creative intellectual engagement with Christian tradition, and to interdisciplinary inquiry that includes literature and the arts, philosophy, and science.
